Aurukun Diary: 40 years with the Aborigines (1925 to 1965) 1981
Geraldine MacKenzie

National Library of Australia ISBN-0-85571-065-9

Geraldine MacKenzie was the wife of Reverend William (Bill) Mackenzie who ruled the mission station on behalf of the Presbyterian Church at Aurukun for 40 years. The book tells the mission history of Aurukun and even the foreword admits that the Scottish couple were "people of their time" and  "will be criticised by Aborigines and others for some of their actions and policies referred to in this book".
